Anyone else feel this way? Rent is about $913/month for a decent place. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. What are your go-to spots?

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.
I've been here 13 years and it's been a really good experience overall. The thing nobody mentions is housing market. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is pretty good.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Fairview side vs the Downtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

I've been here 10 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is weather. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the pet-friendliness is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is hit or miss.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Pine Hills side vs the Cedar Grove side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
