I work in education here and it exceeded my expectations. The job market for my field is excellent. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say it's not perfect but it works for me. The healthcare is pretty good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Charlotte, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good healthcare facilities
- The pet-friendliness scene is better than expected

The downsides:
- Homeless population growing downtown
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for young professionals. No regrets on my end..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is weather. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Worth doing your research before committing.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a social worker who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 11 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Active local events and festivals
- Four distinct seasons

Cons that are real:
- Limited shopping options
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are pricey, gas is underrated.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
