Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a remote worker and Homes are going for about $872,200 on average. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The suburbs are where most families end up. Does this match your experience?

Moved here from Nashville about 7 years ago. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Still getting used to healthcare but Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from San Francisco and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in South. It's challenging for what you get.
Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in engineering. If you're in government you might struggle.
People: Generally underrated. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Italian.
No regrets on my end..

I've lived in Eastside for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from Phoenix, I was surprised by nightlife. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Strong job market in several industries
- The pet-friendliness scene is decent
The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Rising rent and home prices
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for families. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

My experience has been mostly positive. it exceeded my expectations. The only thing I'd watch out for is traffic. Other than that, No regrets on my end..
