I've lived in Greenfield for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Denver, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Decent public transit for the size
- The school system scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Property taxes are high
- Dating scene is rough

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for families. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Came here for weather and stayed because it's exactly what I was looking for. The job market is honestly better than expected and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are average, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want safety, then yeah this place is great. But if dating scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a social worker who relocated here from Seattle about 14 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Four distinct seasons
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are developing, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is cultural scene. I have mixed feelings honestly. Worth doing your research before committing.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from Dallas and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in East. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in construction. If you're in finance you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like sushi.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

- The dating scene scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
