Rent vs buy in Pickerington -what makes sense?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but We're a young couple and You can expect to pay around $1,598 for rent here. Median household income is $116,645, which feels pretty solid for the area. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up. Should I be concerned? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

I've lived in Eastside for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from Austin, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Decent public transit for the size
- The public transit scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for young professionals. Hope this helps!.
