Best apartments in Piney Green under ?

First post here. You can expect to pay around $1,151 for rent here. Rent is about $1,151/month for a decent place. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Am I wrong here? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Hot take but it's exactly what I was looking for. I know a lot of people disagree but after 8 years here, that's my honest assessment.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a chef, 55, moved here 13 years ago from New York. I've lived in Downtown and Uptown, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Growing food and restaurant scene
2. Diverse dining options
3. Lots of family-friendly activities
4. The people are generally better than expected - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Homeless population growing downtown
2. Far from beaches/mountains
3. The walkability situation is manageable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Downtown: Great for couples. surprisingly good vibes, walkable.
- Uptown: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from New York, everything felt underrated. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are developing. Gas is pricey. You can live comfortably on $100K-$140K here.

**Final verdict:**
Give it a chance - it might surprise you.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Came here for my partner's job and stayed because I love the pace of life here. The school system is honestly solid and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I've lived in Highland for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Salt Lake City, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good airport with direct flights
- The community vibe scene is improving

The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Road conditions need improvement

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for couples. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
