Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm originally from Tampa and The median home value here is around $189,100, which is actually reasonable. Average temperature is around 64--F, so the weather is moderate. Poverty rate is 15.0%, which is around average. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development. The suburbs are where most families end up. The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.
