Is it worth buying in Pleasant Prairie?

I relocated for work and Homes are going for about $336,300 on average. It's a a small town city with about 21,515 people. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The suburbs are where most families end up. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from New York and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Highland. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in consulting. If you're in government you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like sushi.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
