Pleasanton quality of life -am I missing something?

I'm a teacher here and It's a a small town city with about 10,854 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Pleasanton sits at 329.9 per 100K. Homes are going for about $203,100 on average. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Pros:
- Nice parks and trails
- Good schools
- Strong sense of community
- Good internet infrastructure

Cons:
- Hot summers
- Far from major airports
- Chain restaurants dominate
Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'm a HR manager and I've found it's exactly what I was looking for. The community is underrated and there's always something going on.

As someone who grew up here, I love the pace of life here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. traffic used to be much growing but now it's better than expected.

I've lived in Greenfield for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Minneapolis, I was surprised by weather. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good schools in most areas
- The cultural scene scene is underrated

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Winters are long and cold

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for remote workers. Happy to answer more specific questions..
