Average temperature is around 59--F, so the weather is moderate. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. What do you all think? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The weather takes some getting used to.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it was the best decision I ever made. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.
I've been here 7 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is public transit. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the school system is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is better than expected.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The South side vs the Greenfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Hope this helps!.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from Charlotte and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in East. It's challenging for what you get.
Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in marketing. If you're in real estate you might struggle.
People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Korean.
