Honest thoughts on life in Ponce zona urbana

Hi all, Poverty rate is 47.1%, which is higher than I expected. It's a a mid-size city city with about 110K people. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Anyone in a similar situation? The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.
