OK so Just moved here 5 months ago and Crime rate is something to consider -Ponce zona urbana sits at 2,771.8 per 100K. Household incomes average around $18,650 in Ponce zona urbana. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Has anyone dealt with this? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Bought a house here in 2018 and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want healthcare, then yeah this place is great. But if weather matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Internet is hit or miss in most areas.

I've lived in Fairview for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Denver, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Lots of new development happening
- The safety scene is better than expected
The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Limited high-paying job options
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for remote workers. No regrets on my end..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I love the pace of life here. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Hot take but it was the best decision I ever made. I know a lot of people disagree but after 8 years here, that's my honest assessment.
