Hey everyone, I grew up here but left for a while. With a population of 110K, Ponce zona urbana is a mid-size city. Average temperature is around 80--F, so it's warm year-round. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Is this normal for Ponce zona urbana? Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Bought a house here in 2018 and I genuinely enjoy living here. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. No regrets on my end..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.
I've been here 13 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the pet-friendliness is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is tough.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Cedar Grove side vs the Highland side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
