Port Arthur vs Miami -which is better?
Been meaning to ask this. We're a young couple and You can expect to pay around $996 for rent here. The median home value here is around $96,900, which is actually reasonable. Poverty rate is 27.2%, which is higher than I expected. Average temperature is around 70--F, so the weather is moderate. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Am I wrong here? The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.
