Moving to Prosper with kids -good idea?

Alright, Crime rate is something to consider -Prosper sits at 56.4 per 100K. Average temperature is around 65--F, so the weather is moderate. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The weather takes some getting used to. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. What would you do? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. My experience has been mostly positive. it was the best decision I ever made. The only thing I'd watch out for is nightlife. Other than that, Definitely worth checking out..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is pet-friendliness. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Worth doing your research before committing.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in South. It's pretty good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in legal. If you're in real estate you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Indian.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
