Pros and cons of Puerto Real comunidad after 6 years

Not sure if this has been asked before, but You can expect to pay around $512 for rent here. Homes are going for about $104,100 on average. The unemployment rate is 9.8%, which is concerning. The median home value here is around $104,100, which is actually reasonable. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Anyone in a similar situation? The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The weather takes some getting used to. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from LA and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Fairview. It's pretty good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in real estate. If you're in education you might struggle.

People: Generally solid. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: solid. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

Definitely worth checking out..
