Worst things about Ranchester nobody talks about

Anyone else feel this way? I've been here for 19 years and Average temperature is around 44--F, so bundle up in winter. Poverty rate is 10.4%, which is around average. Median household income is $65,568, which feels about average for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Ranchester sits at 217.6 per 100K. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Am I wrong here? Property taxes are high but you get good services. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

I've been living here for 5 years and I'd say there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The job market is pretty good compared to other places I've lived. Overall It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I genuinely enjoy living here. Good luck with whatever you decide..
