Longtime lurker here, Rent is about $868/month for a decent place. You can expect to pay around $868 for rent here. Household incomes average around $61,648 in Rensselaer. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Is this normal for Rensselaer? The suburbs are where most families end up. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services.
