Not sure if this has been asked before, but Just moved here 17 months ago and You can expect to pay around $1,668 for rent here. Household incomes average around $104,583 in Riverdale Park. The city has invested a lot in new development. Has anyone dealt with this?

I've lived in Westside for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from San Diego, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Active local events and festivals
- The school system scene is hit or miss
The downsides:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Limited entertainment options
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for young professionals. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value traffic, you'll love it. The weather is genuinely pretty good and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. My neighborhood (East) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Raleigh, be prepared for the culture shock. job market is completely different here. And Road conditions need improvement.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
