Biggest downsides of living in Romulus?
Longtime lurker here, People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. What do you all think?

I've been living here for 14 years and I'd say there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The dating scene is pretty good compared to other places I've lived. Overall It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from Boston about 9 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and a fresh start.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good internet infrastructure
- Four distinct seasons
- Strong sense of community
Cons that are real:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Dating scene is rough
Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are growing, gas is decent.
Socially, the quality of life is solid. Definitely worth checking out..
