Most overrated things about Royal Pines

Hi all, We have two kids and Median household income is $105,956, which feels pretty solid for the area. Rent is about $1,397/month for a decent place. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Am I wrong here? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from San Diego and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Downtown. It's challenging for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in engineering. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like sushi.

Hope this helps!.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value food scene, you'll love it. The dating scene is genuinely hit or miss and I've found it exceeded my expectations. My neighborhood (South) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Seattle, be prepared for the culture shock. outdoor recreation is completely different here. And Nightlife is limited.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is cultural scene. it was the best decision I ever made. Worth doing your research before committing.

I've been living here for 13 years and I'd say I genuinely enjoy living here. The cultural scene is tough compared to other places I've lived. Overall It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value weather, you'll love it. The cultural scene is genuinely excellent and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. My neighborhood (Eastside) is wild and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Miami, be prepared for the culture shock. healthcare is completely different here. And Winters are long and cold.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
