Not sure if this has been asked before, but Been living here since 2007. Rent is about $716/month for a decent place. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Any advice would be great. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want outdoor recreation, then yeah this place is great. But if housing market matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.
I've been here 6 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is pet-friendliness. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the job market is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is pretty good.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Old Town side vs the East side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Came here for work and stayed because it's improved dramatically in recent years. The outdoor recreation is honestly surprisingly good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I genuinely enjoy living here. Happy to answer more specific questions..
