We're a young couple and Rent is about $835/month for a decent place. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Is this normal for Russellville? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Portland about 4 years ago. The main reasons were school and weather.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Four distinct seasons
- Good airport with direct flights
Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Homeless population growing downtown
Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are competitive, gas is decent.
Socially, the quality of life is solid. No regrets on my end..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I have mixed feelings honestly. Internet is tough in most areas.

We moved here with our family and it was the best decision I ever made. Schools in Maple Ridge area are challenging. Kids love it here.
