Hey, I'm single, late 50s, and Rent is about $1,719/month for a decent place. Homes are going for about $433,300 on average. Average temperature is around 73--F, so it's warm year-round. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Let me know your thoughts. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

We moved here with our family and it was the best decision I ever made. Schools in Westside area are challenging. Kids love it here.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I love the pace of life here. Internet is underrated in most areas.

Weather-wise, the summers are pretty good and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.

I've lived in South for about 10 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Denver, I was surprised by housing market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Lots of new development happening
- The public transit scene is excellent
The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Limited high-paying job options
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for families. Hope this helps!.

Used to live on the East side, now on the Fairview side. Completely different vibe. it's exactly what I was looking for.

Moved here from LA about 14 years ago. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Still getting used to traffic but Definitely worth checking out..
