Working remotely from Safford

First post here. I've been here for 2 years and Crime rate is something to consider -Safford sits at 211.8 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 3.5%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $65,727 in Safford. Homes are going for about $191,600 on average. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The weather takes some getting used to. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Midtown. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in finance. If you're in legal you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like Southern.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
