Cheapest neighborhoods in Salida del Sol Estates?

Been meaning to ask this. My family moved here when I was a kid. It's a a small town city with about 6,356 people. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Would love some local perspective. The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a teacher who relocated here from LA about 9 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Four distinct seasons
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Homeless population growing downtown
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are developing, gas is tough.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. Hope this helps!.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. it exceeded my expectations. Compared to Denver it's challenging.
