How is San Tan Valley for outdoor activities?

Hello, We have two kids and Rent is about $1,857/month for a decent place. With a population of 105K, San Tan Valley is a mid-size city. Homes are going for about $365,900 on average. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. What would you do?   Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Internet is hit or miss in most areas.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is pet-friendliness. I genuinely enjoy living here. Worth doing your research before committing.
