How safe is San Tan Valley really?

I've been looking at the stats and San Tan Valley shows relatively low crime stats. But stats don't always tell the full story. For people who actually live there — do you feel safe? Are there areas to avoid?

I'm especially interested in hearing from families with young kids.

As someone who moved here from New York, I can confirm most of this. The cost of living surprised me the most.

I'd add that healthcare options are better than most cities this size. Otherwise spot on!

I work in healthcare and finding a job wasn't hard. Took about 5 months.

Public transit needs work but they're investing in it. Should improve in next few years.

My kids love it here. So many parks and activities. The local food is incredible.
