Is Scotia walkable?

Hi all, Average temperature is around 49--F, so expect cold winters. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Should I be concerned? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Relocating to Scotia, NY -pros and cons?

Random thought, I relocated for work and Rent is about $1,064/month for a decent place. The median home value here is around $182,800, which is actually reasonable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.
