Quick question about Sebastian
OK so I grew up here but left for a while. Rent is about $369/month for a decent place. The unemployment rate is 1.0%, which is pretty low. With a population of 1,144, Sebastian is a small town. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Am I wrong here? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
