Biggest downsides of living in Seminole?

Rent is about $881/month for a decent place. Average temperature is around 62--F, so the weather is moderate. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Am I overthinking this? Appreciate any input. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

As someone who grew up here, I'm still on the fence after all this time. A lot has changed in the past few years though. public transit used to be much developing but now it's tough.

Came here for quality of life and stayed because it exceeded my expectations. The cultural scene is honestly average and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's not perfect but it works for me. Definitely worth checking out..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value school system, you'll love it. The nightlife is genuinely underrated and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. My neighborhood (East) is stable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Seattle, be prepared for the culture shock. food scene is completely different here. And Urban sprawl is real.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 10 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is walkability. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the housing market is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Highland side vs the South side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want nightlife, then yeah this place is great. But if job market matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

If you value dating scene, you'll love it. The nightlife is genuinely excellent and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. My neighborhood (Westside) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from San Diego, be prepared for the culture shock. cost of living is completely different here. And Property taxes are high.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

My experience has been mostly positive. I have mixed feelings honestly. The only thing I'd watch out for is cultural scene. Other than that, Good luck with whatever you decide..
