Worst things about Shady Hills nobody talks about

Longtime lurker here, My family moved here when I was a kid. With a population of 12,012, Shady Hills is a small town. Average temperature is around 73--F, so it's warm year-round. Poverty rate is 8.6%, which is pretty low. The weather takes some getting used to. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is community vibe. I genuinely enjoy living here. Worth doing your research before committing.
