Random thought, I've been here for 5 years and Household incomes average around $54,400 in Shelbyville. The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. What are your go-to spots? Thanks for reading. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

As someone who grew up here, it's improved dramatically in recent years. A lot has changed in the past few years though. food scene used to be much manageable but now it's tough.

My experience has been mostly positive. it was the best decision I ever made. The only thing I'd watch out for is public transit. Other than that, Happy to answer more specific questions..
