You can expect to pay around $2,513 for rent here. Average temperature is around 62°F, so the weather is moderate. Homes are going for about $753,500 on average. The unemployment rate is 3.0%, which is pretty low. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Am I wrong here? The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

I work in retail here and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The job market for my field is better than expected. Definitely worth checking out..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Dallas and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in East. It's underrated for what you get.
Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in construction. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.
People: Generally better than expected. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: solid. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.
