Simi Valley is underrated, change my mind

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a remote worker and The median home value here is around $753,500, which is pretty steep. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Thoughts? Property taxes are high but you get good services.

As someone who grew up here, I have mixed feelings honestly. A lot has changed in the past few years though. school system used to be much stable but now it's improving.

Used to live on the Highland side, now on the Springfield side. Completely different vibe. it exceeded my expectations.

I've lived in South for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Raleigh, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The job market scene is average

The downsides:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Chain restaurants dominate

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for families. Feel free to reach out with questions..
