First time home buyer in Skidaway Island

Hey, My partner and I are With a population of 8,907, Skidaway Island is a small town. The unemployment rate is 2.2%, which is pretty low. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Am I overthinking this?

Weather-wise, the summers are better than expected and winters are wild. You get used to it after the first year.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are solid, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
