Remote worker thinking about Sonterra

Hey everyone, Average temperature is around 67--F, so the weather is moderate. The unemployment rate is 3.5%, which is pretty low. The median home value here is around $260,100, which seems about average. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Midtown. It's solid for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Southern.

Feel free to reach out with questions..

The food scene here is solid. Tons of great Mediterranean places. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.
