Working in South Lebanon -salaries realistic?

OK so I'm a college student here and With a population of 6,552, South Lebanon is a small town. Rent is about $1,086/month for a decent place. The unemployment rate is 9.4%, which is concerning. Homes are going for about $315,800 on average. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Has anyone dealt with this? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Hot take but it was the best decision I ever made. I know a lot of people disagree but after 8 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Weather-wise, the summers are tough and winters are developing. You get used to it after the first year.
