Moving from Baltimore to Southaven next month

Hi all, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Rent is about $1,361/month for a decent place. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Thoughts? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.

I've been here 5 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is school system. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Maple Ridge side vs the Cedar Grove side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
