Spanish Lake in the winter -how bad?

Longtime lurker here, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Poverty rate is 13.8%, which is around average. Median household income is $51,125, which feels on the lower side for the area. Average temperature is around 56--F, so the weather is moderate. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Does this match your experience? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Used to live on the Springfield side, now on the Sunset side. Completely different vibe. it was the best decision I ever made.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it was the best decision I ever made. Definitely worth checking out..
