Hot take but I love the pace of life here. I know a lot of people disagree but after 8 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Used to live on the The Heights side, now on the Cedar Grove side. Completely different vibe. it's exactly what I was looking for.

I've been living here for 13 years and I'd say it's improved dramatically in recent years. The outdoor recreation is better than expected compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..

My experience has been mostly positive. it's improved dramatically in recent years. The only thing I'd watch out for is cultural scene. Other than that, Feel free to reach out with questions..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a social worker who relocated here from Raleigh about 12 years ago. The main reasons were family and school.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Good healthcare facilities
- Lots of new development happening
Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Urban sprawl is real
Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are stable, gas is average.
Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I'm a electrician who relocated here from Minneapolis about 5 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and school.
Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good internet infrastructure
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are competitive, gas is challenging.
Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. No regrets on my end..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Compared to Atlanta it's average.
