Best and worst neighborhoods in Spencer

Anyone else feel this way? I grew up here but left for a while. Homes are going for about $178,300 on average. You can expect to pay around $795 for rent here. Crime rate is something to consider -Spencer sits at 63.6 per 100K. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from LA and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Westside. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in government. If you're in government you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like Thai.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
