Best and worst neighborhoods in Spring Hill

Longtime lurker here, I'm a college student here and It's a a smaller city city with about 53,585 people. The unemployment rate is 1.0%, which is pretty low. You can expect to pay around $1,738 for rent here. Poverty rate is 3.9%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $452,400 on average. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Pros:
- Great weather
- Lots of new development
- Good internet infrastructure

Cons:
- Limited public transit
- High property taxes
- Chain restaurants dominate
The weather takes some getting used to. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is cost of living. I love the pace of life here. Worth doing your research before committing.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Tampa about 9 years ago. The main reasons were family and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Close to major attractions
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are wild, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a accountant who relocated here from Boston about 6 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Decent public transit for the size

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Dating scene is rough

Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are stable, gas is better than expected.

Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Feel free to reach out with questions..
