Median household income is $106,658, which feels pretty solid for the area. The suburbs are where most families end up. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Raleigh and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Cedar Grove. It's tough for what you get.
Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in construction. If you're in consulting you might struggle.
People: Generally excellent. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Asian.
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
