Thinking about relocating to Spring Hill from Los Angeles
Hi all, Median household income is $106,658, which feels pretty solid for the area. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Does this match your experience? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Weather-wise, the summers are pretty good and winters are reasonable. You get used to it after the first year.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.
I've been in Greenfield for 15 years. Moved from Nashville for work. Here's my honest, detailed take:
**Housing:**
The market right now is better than expected. We bought in 2021 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable.
**Employment:**
manufacturing is strong here. tech is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are manageable for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
I'm still on the fence after all this time. The outdoor scene is underrated - we have mountains within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Greenfield schools are decent. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Urban sprawl is real. Far from beaches/mountains. And walkability can be frustrating.
**Bottom line:**
For couples, I'd say this is a 5/10. Definitely worth checking out.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.
I've been here 9 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is weather. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the community vibe is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is better than expected.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Downtown side vs the North side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I've lived in Maple Ridge for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Seattle, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Lots of new development happening
- Good airport with direct flights
- The safety scene is excellent
The downsides:
- Property taxes are high
- Can feel isolated
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for young professionals. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
