Working in Spring Hill -salaries realistic?

Random thought, I work in construction and Homes are going for about $452,400 on average. Crime rate is something to consider -Spring Hill sits at 122.4 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 1.0%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $106,658 in Spring Hill. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Thanks! It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a project manager who relocated here from Seattle about 14 years ago. The main reasons were weather and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Good internet infrastructure
- Active local events and festivals

Cons that are real:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are developing, gas is tough.

Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Eastside for 3 years. Moved from Boston for family. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is better than expected. We bought in 2018 at k and it's now worth about the same than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 2-bed in a safe area. Lots of new construction which should help.

**Employment:**
manufacturing is strong here. real estate is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are growing for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it was the best decision I ever made. The outdoor scene is hit or miss - we have national forests within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Eastside schools are underrated. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Urban sprawl is real. Limited entertainment options. And healthcare can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For remote workers, I'd say this is a 8/10. Give it a chance - it might surprise you.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Minneapolis and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Eastside. It's hit or miss for what you get.

Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in real estate. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Thai.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

As someone who grew up here, I genuinely enjoy living here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. traffic used to be much affordable but now it's better than expected.
