Not sure if this has been asked before, but I've been here for 19 years and The median home value here is around $622,200, which is pretty steep. Crime rate is something to consider -Springfield sits at 130.5 per 100K. Rent is about $2,643/month for a decent place. Household incomes average around $123,691 in Springfield. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
