Is St. Andrews good for remote workers?

Longtime lurker here, Military spouse here. The median home value here is around $146,700, which is actually reasonable. Poverty rate is 22.8%, which is higher than I expected. The city has invested a lot in new development. Any advice would be great. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a teacher who relocated here from Dallas about 7 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good internet infrastructure
- Active local events and festivals

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are established, gas is tough.

Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Hope this helps!.

Moved here from Charlotte about 5 years ago. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Still getting used to pet-friendliness but Hope this helps!.

I've been living here for 1 years and I'd say I'm still on the fence after all this time. The housing market is tough compared to other places I've lived. Overall Feel free to reach out with questions..
