Top 5 things I love about St. Andrews

Random thought, Born and raised here. With a population of 20,953, St. Andrews is a small town. Poverty rate is 22.8%, which is higher than I expected. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Let me know your thoughts. TIA! I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.

I've been here 1 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is safety. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the nightlife is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Midtown side vs the Lakewood side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
