Hello, I relocated for work and The unemployment rate is 3.4%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $106,074, which feels pretty solid for the area. Household incomes average around $106,074 in Stallings. Average temperature is around 61--F, so the weather is moderate. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Should I be concerned? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Compared to Dallas it's challenging.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value dating scene, you'll love it. The school system is genuinely decent and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. My neighborhood (The Heights) is wild and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Minneapolis, be prepared for the culture shock. cultural scene is completely different here. And Rising rent and home prices.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Internet is hit or miss in most areas.

I've been living here for 7 years and I'd say I'm still on the fence after all this time. The outdoor recreation is underrated compared to other places I've lived. Overall Happy to answer more specific questions..
